Tails’ Skypatrol has gotten a reputation for being one of the hardest games in the franchise, and an extremely difficult game at that. The game was developed by Japan System House (JSH)/Biox, a studio who worked on various 8-bit SEGA games during the 90’s (although credit was also given to SIMS, another studio in a similar vein, it’s ambiguous as to how much involvement they actually had, due to the abundance of pseudonyms seen in the game’s credits). The first of these games was Tails’ Skypatrol, a Game Gear exclusive that never saw release outside of Japan until its inclusion as an unlockable in Sonic Adventure DX. These two games are among the more unusual entries in the series, as they were not only spin-offs based on a character besides Sonic, but they also played very differently from any Sonic game that came before or since. Now hurry up, the Minecraft world is waiting for you to share your stories, great and small. In the middle of all these 8-bit games were a couple of spin-offs based around Miles “Tails” Prower, the fan favorite character who debuted back in Sonic 2. Starting today, the Trails & Tales Update will be available to download for Minecraft: Java Edition on Windows, macOS, and Linux and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, Windows, and a brand new device: Chromebook! Maybe you want to use them to point the way to some buried ruins filled with suspicious sand, or to let others know that the hissing over yonder is merely your creeper choir made with playable mob sounds. One of the many things you can craft with wood is signs, that can now hang on the side of or beneath blocks. Please keep in mind that hostile mobs will still attack, even in the middle of a tranquil sea. Bamboo is also available as a wood set, including a unique raft that can hold a chest or mob of your choice. The rare cherry grove biome doesn’t just add a beautiful, pink oasis but also a full pink wood set. Not to be outdone, the blocks of Trails & Tales will change the Overworld’s landscape forever. Please don’t get me started on baby camels and snifflets, because I will get derailed by the cuteness that is frankly criminal. Or the sniffer, which was once extinct but thanks to you will flourish once again. The world of Minecraft is forever enriched by new mobs like the camel, which provides terrifically tall transportation for two.
